RSD 2017: More Rumoured Releases To Include David Bowie Records

For this year’s edition of Record Store Day, two David Bowie releases are speculated to drop. One of which is Cracked Actor (Live In Los Angeles 1974), which is from his Philly Dogs Tour show from September 1974. The full concert will be documented on a triple vinyl five-sided album. The sixth side will feature an etching of the Diamond Dogs era Bowie logo.

Featuring a band line up which includes soul legend Luther Vandross and mixed by long time Bowie collaborator Tony Visconti. The album also features newly commissioned artwork with rare and unseen photographs from the 1974 Universal Amphitheatre show by Terry O’Neill and Jamie Andrews.

Next up is BOWPROMO, which features alternate mixes of songs that would eventually be released on the Hunky Dory album. The original release featured five tracks from Dana Gillespie on its B-side, however this will be one-sided, with just Bowie’s 7 songs as follows below.

1. Oh! You Pretty Things
2. Eight Line Poem
3. Kooks
4. It Ain’t Easy
5. Queen Bitch
6. Quicksand
7. Bombers / Andy Warhol Intro

Record Store Day this year will be held on April 22nd.
