For the first time ever, French electronic duo AIR will be performing live in Singapore courtesy of Secret Sounds Asia. They will be performing on the 27th of May, 8.30pm at the Esplanade Theatre.
Hailing from Versailles, France consisting of Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoît Dunckel, AIR’s sensual, atmospheric sound, inspired by Burt Bacharach, Kraftwerk and Brian Wilson, as well as a heady mix of disco, synthesizer maestros, new wave and obscure film soundtracks have been one of the most influential electronic music acts of the late-’90s and 2000’s. The duo has had an illustrious career from their critically acclaimed 1998 debut, Moon Safari, to their dreamy soundtrack to Sofia Coppola’s cult film The Virgin Suicides and collaborations with other artists such as Au Revoir Simone and Beach House’s Victoria LeGrand.
